About Shropshire Deaf and Hard of Hearing Forum

We were set up by a group of hearing impaired individuals, associated professionals and local authority representatives. Initial funding was provided by the CommunityCouncil of Shropshire, since then our main income has been donations from local Lions, Masons and Rotary clubs, we are very grateful for their support.

We are a volunteer run organisation, currently all our executive committee are hearing impaired.

We are always happy to hear from anyone who has an interest in hearing issues or who wishes to get involved in running the forum.

Our Team

The group is volunteer run, with professional advice available as required.

All the executive officers have a hearing impairment themselves and so are very aware of the issues that arise.

Our Mission Statement

The Forum’s aim is to provide a means by which those who are affected by hearing impairment in the county of Shropshire and the borough of Telford and Wrekin, in either a professional, voluntary, or personal capacity, have the ability to share knowledge, raise problems that may occur in their particular environment, and promote the integrated services to all clients within the county boundaries.
